    1st Hunt of The Year

I have been busy with life and finally got to go hunt this past weekend. My lease in near Paducah, so the wind blows hard out there a lot. When the front came through late Thursday early Friday, and that morning the wind was blowing around 40mph. I decided to go back to sleep and hit the evening hunt since the forecast was for light winds. I got in my fence picket blind early, and finally just before dark I had a group of doe come in. I waiting for them to calm down and start eating and let one fly. I saw the arrow hit and knew I made a good shot and she wouldn't go far. I watched her run about 75 yards and go down. Going to be some good jerky and backstrap out of this one.

Thanks, I have a couple out there that when the spring storms hit, I just took 4 panels that people put out by the curb. Got 4 landscape timbers from Home Depot, and tin for the roof, and I gotta say it makes a pretty good blind. The deer don't even look at it.
