if it comes off with the hide I'd guess the meat is fine. I'd probably still grind everything into burger and cook it all the way through, but it's highly unlikely that it's anything to worry about getting sick from. As stated, keep her cool, and reach out to a biologist.

It may be 100% safe BUT what would be the first thing you saw in your mind's eye the first bite you took????!!!!!

Guess I'm hungier than some of y'all...

Seriously though, I'm not bothered by where it came from as long as I know the meat didn't spoil and has been properly taken care of. Don't tell me how the sausage was made, just give me the sausage.

That is almost an identical pic to the first CWD case deer in Texas. Identical!!!

Can't believe it took 37 posts for someone to say CWD.[emoji23] I hope you're wrong.

Perfect deer to give to the neighbors.

I wouldn't eat that. I am curious about what it is.

Thanks for sharing. Interesting. A favor was done for that doe and the herd as well. It was not healthy.

No way I'm throwing that deer out. Skin, quarter and process. **** neighbors are always trying to mooch deer meat off me.
