    Warning-graphic

Well, smart, here's my experience. This one passed through a deer last night. It was a complete passthru, both ribs, three ribs on each side and cut a trench in the ground on the other side before the arrow ran out of energy. The deer was a successful harvest, good blood all the way (for me).

I rinsed it off when I got home, here's what it looked like.

The pic on the bottom was the entrance wound and compares to the size of the head. Granted the wound was caused by the head as it was perpendicular to how it is now, but I just put it up for a comparison.

Only 2 broadheads I've ever put through a critter (turkeys excluded), were Thunderheads, and Slick Tricks. The Thunderheads killed everything I ever put'em through. The Slick Tricks killed everything I ever put'em through quicker, and left a much better blood trail.

I also like the ST because of they have less surface area than a lot of heads (less "planing"), and because they're shorter overall (making them more like field points).

I'm a ST believer, and will not be switching.

I still have everyone I bought.

Has anyone had any "lack of penetration" issues with Slick Tricks? It just seems to me that with those steep blade angles that might be a problem. I did shoot a buck this year with a ST, and it blew right through him. Just wondering what y'all have experienced.

This is what a ST did to my leg.

I shot a huge doe in north Louisianna this year with a ST, and the arrow buried up 7-8 inches in the ground on the other side. I followed most of the blood trail from my perch, 25' up a pine tree!

I have been tricken for a couple of years now and the only one I have ever broken was on this little piglet a couple of weeks ago. Who needs a blood trail when they only go 40 yrds.

Mequitecountry, the only thing sorry in this picture is the doe, sorry she got hit with a Crimson Talon.

Can't go wrong either way, but I'll be stickin to magnum tricks. No penetration issues thus far, come to think of it all 3 deer and 4 pigs were pass-thru's.

Here is my Slick trick doe hole from 2005, crimson trail & blood spray.
Did the same thing to a few pigs this year, one sprayed blood as it turned & ran- bright pink blood shot ~5' away.
