Lost At Sea For 5 Months.........

Miraculous rescue of two women lost at sea for FIVE MONTHS reveals how they were attacked by sharks, lost their water purifier and sent out distress calls for 98 DAYS before help arrived

A planned voyage from Hawaii to Tahiti aboard a small sailboat didn't start off well for two Honolulu women.

I wonder if they saved their boat, left it adrift or sank it? I believe I would have been too worried about the sharks.

What did they eat for 5 months? It takes a bunch of food for 2 people and 2 dogs for 5 months. They looked to be in great overall shape. They don't have the appearance of lost at sea for 5 months.

And a fresh water generator. I didn’t hear that it had failed as posted earlier. It’s impossible to survive 5 months without water so I have to believe it was still working. Incredible story of survival regardless. Pays to be as prepared as possible.

Solar power would have been good to have. Maybe a sat phone.

Why would they be worried about a shark attacking their boat. It’s not like there in an inflatable raft.

Interesting to hear that they survived for 5 months, but were glad to be rescued because she thought they were going to die in the next 24hrs....

I don't think it was 5 months, It's kind of a fishy story.

The shark attack was pretty funny, I think they’ve been watching too much “Sharknado”.

I wonder what kind of sailing experience they previously had.
