Great movement by young bucks on the 28th and 29th. Real nice 3 1/2 year old 8 pt followed some does through. Had 3 new bucks show up on the morning of the 22nd and one returned 2 days later. A few more days and the big boys should join the fun.

Any pics of the porch? Im going to be setting up a 14x32 and trying to decide how big to make the covered porch. Do you think 8' is deep enough by the time everybody piles their crap up, room for a cooker, etc?

I think 8ft is good. I made it that way for cost of material purposes. 10ft would be ideal. However it is still plenty roomy.

We are into say 4 and movement is still super slow. I called in a shooter 8 yesterday using a bleat and Series grunts. Ran in 60 yards upwind and didn't see what he was looking for and slipped out as fast as he came in. Never attempted to get down wind of me or offer a shot. Getting into stand at noon today and sitting until 7. Let's see what happens.

Well this week was bust. Saw three deer all 5 days and only one shooter that hung up at 60 yards after responding to bleat and grunts but wouldn't come within range. My buddy had our top hitlist buck we call "ocho grande" at his stand yesterday for 45 minutes. This buck stayed just out of bow range bedded down. Just as another 10pt showed up and the squared off to Ocho. He says they postured and Ocho snort wheezed and the 10 decided he didn't want any part of Ocho. After this Ocho left the same way he came just out of bow range. First time anyone had seen Ocho in the 4 years we've been getting him on camera. All went down at 9:45am 56 degrees and wind 5-10 mph.

sounds like a good trip. Maybe you can get up there for the next cool front and catch a few of the big ones on their feet.
