Title: Rebuilt or Salvage ? Same thing ?

Been looking at trucks online and some are listed with a “ Rebuilt title “ and some are listed “ Salvage title “. Is that not the same thing? Just wondering.

Anybody ever buy a everyday driver with a Rebuilt/Salvage title? Any problem getting it financed or insured?

Whatever it is ought to be super cheap. A small discount on the price isn't enough. An insurance agent explain to me, a salvage titled vehicle has already has the value of said vehicle paid out due to insurance claim. There is nothing of value to insure or pay for. I was told insurance companies will only do liability insurance on them. That's just what I was told.

I bought a salvage title RV.

After I repaired it, I submitted evidence to the DMV and got a rebuilt title.

It's the same thing, but different

You probably won't be getting financing or full coverage on it, but there are a few companies that will write it.

That’s what I thought, but when they say Rebuilt is it different then Salvage?

it means you can take the title and get it registered.

Technically, a salvage vehicle isn't road worthy until it is rebuilt.
