I'd ask your friend how her taxes are set up. As one property? I own two tracts and i am taxed as one. Allows me to have a wildlife exemption. Do the tracts share a boundry? If they share a boundry you are probably fine but ask a game warden first. Good luck with the corn showdown!

Taxed as 2 separate tracts I believe. And yes they definitely share a border. Here’s a pic of it. I need to ask a GW about it I guess.

I bet per the state rules you will be fine. Good luck with the HOA.

          HOA’s aren’t worth a warm bucket of ****

Go hunt it, just make sure the deer die on the property.

I’m betting on the plain old deer corn.

I’m headed out to get the first 2 contenders set out. Gonna be regular ol deer corn and apple scented for tonight.

Test is all set up. Regular corn on the left and apple corn on the right. Will have the covert running on them all night.

Also found this nice little scrape about 25 yards from the feeder. It’s been here for a few years now that I know of. Looks like it’s starting to get worked a little bit.

I'd bet if you consulted a game warden(a real one), they would tell you they have no problems w/you hunting there. I.e. 1 you are not trespassing 2. it's deer season. I would also call the sheriff's dept just to let them know you plan on hunting. in the city of richwood, I had permission to hunt 3 properties totaling 11 acres. city ordinances dictated that a bow shot in the city must be under 290fps(I had to shoot heavier arrows and tune my bow down), and you could not shoot w/in 300yds of someone else's barn/house. this was 4 years ago, it may have changed

Well one thing is for sure. Either the weather or having more food has brought deer out of the woodworks. The last week I’ve only had 2 small bucks coming into this feeder in the evening. Right now there are 7-8 deer there.

Regular corn seems to be favored right now.

I used to hunt an area like that. My friend's neighbor saw me loading a doe and called the sheriff, sheriff told him to call the game warden. Game warden asked that neighbor if the deer was tagged, "yes", game warden says ok it's legal. Neighbor calls HOA and they fine my friend $250! They had an HOA ordinance against hunting and he had to pay because it was in the mortgage docs signed at closing.

HOA's are the #2 reason I won't live in an neighborhood with one.

The number one being that I like having a home range to shoot out to 100 yards

I’ve tried the vanilla corn and c’mere Deer with no luck. Had a decent 10 working a ground blind on hand corn for 2-3 evening in a row decided to try the c’mere deer and he wouldn’t touch it

Cool thread... I am doing my own test. Regular crown and apple crown... I like both and not sure which one I prefer just yet
