    "Month of Sundays"

This actually started a hilarious debate in our office recently.
I'm assuming at least a few of you heard the phrase "month of Sundays."

For example, my 85 year old grandmother always says, "I havent seen you in a month of Sundays!"

I always thought the phrase meant a month. Because whether you have a month of Sundays, or a month of Tuesdays, and a month's worth of food, it's still just a month.

But, it appears that some people have a totally different opinion.

    What say you?

I always thought it implied not seeing someone in a really long time, like 30 Sundays in this example. Same time frame as 30 weeks. Another favorite.. "I haven't seen you in a coon's age!"

I would assume it originates from the church? Describing a month. but in a quantifiable unit where you would normally see a person (Church on Sunday).
