Question..Dad's with visitation

Just got word the company I work for is about to come down on "dads with visitation"

We've been working overtime (thankfully) and I have to leave at my normal cutoff at 5:00pm every Wednesday & every other Friday.
That includes myself and two other divorced dads I work along side.

Just heard through the pipeline that we may have to make "other arrangements" due to the work load.

I work late every opportunity I get, even on days I'm not scheduled.

I am wrong to be disappointed in my employer, or do I have a leg to stand on?

I want to see my son, I hate being kept from him.

That's a crappy deal but, as an employer my responsibility isn't making sure people get time off to see their kids. The work has to get done no matter what. That being said, you have to decide what's more important.

If I had a finite amount of time to see my kids and my work/boss wouldn't work with me on it I would exercise my right to go somewhere else.

Thank God I don't have this issue but it wouldn't even be a second thought for me, I'd be out the door at the necessary time to see my kids.

Just went through that at work. They had us working weekends so I missed two weekends with my daughter. After that I went and talked to them about it since I only get her on my weekends because she’s over an hour away. They took care of it and let me off the weekends I have her.
