So near Houston we are below average temperature, should I call it like it is, cooling?

This morning I'm in my blind in Burnet Co (Spicewood). I've had four different bucks eating corn with ZERO sign of rut.

      Crazy.

      That is crazy.

For reference, when I say rut I mean a buck locked down with a doe. Every day this week there have been bucks in “dummy mode” out in the open. Several are the most mature in the area.

My definition of the rut would be any time that a mature buck is willing to throw caution to the wind in a effort to breed with an estrous doe. I believe that on average the "peek " for this type of activity always falls on or around the first full moon after fall equinox
