    Save Our Weekend

CEdwards28 and myself are in need of a portable generator for the weekend. Cold front is coming and High Plains duck season opens but the property we are hunting on doesn't have any hookups. Generator only needs to put out at least 4000 amps.

Asking to borrow a generator from someone around DFW. I live in Irving/Las Colinas. Have had many dealings with TBHers and none of them have said anything bad about me yet!

We are planning to leave Friday early afternoon after my grandfathers funeral and will return Sunday afternoon.

I know it's late notice, and I'm working on other options, but I figured it was worth the shot!

We guesstimated that we need 3650 amps to run lights and anything else minus microwave and a/c. Really just needs to have a 30 amp plug and we should be good!

Just trying to have lights and a small heater if needed! Plus we have a hot spot, fire stick, and tv so that wouldn't hurt either!!

Thank you for the well wishes in regards to my grandfather. He was certainly an extraordinary man and left more than an impression on this world!

Campers usually have propane for heat, and 12 volt lights; Just need something to keep battery charged and run tv... you don't need much generator at all as long as you don't run the microwave, or curl your hair.

                I rent them out. Mrsmokerrental.com

I would be happy to give you a discount as a TBH'er.

                    Yes, I misspoke!

Good news is I was able to rig up new fuel lines and an external tank by a quick trip to Auto Zone and some redneck ingenuity. Going to run it for a few minutes this evening to confirm but it fired right up last night.

                    Thanks everyone for the guidance.

Most certainly! Weather is cooperating thus far so pretty high expectations for the season.
