Maybe it was the only shot at super close range?

Poor decision on the hunter to take that shot, to many things could have gone way wrong and ended up with a wounded animal

It worked this time but it is a high risk shot that I wouldn’t take.
Did they unscrew the broadhead or is that a field point?

I doubt he was actually shooting for that spot. Prob was going for a neck shot but screwed it up really bad. Done the same things on hogs before.
But to answer your question....NOPE.
