    Big Game Tripod

Academy has the 12' model on sale for $90. Anyone have any experience with this tripod? Not sure how well the lack of platform would work out.

I bought one the other day. Past weekend was an additional 10% off as well. Set it up and sat in it last night. I like it. I did what someone on here said and turned the shooting rail upside down for a foot rest. Makes it a little sketchy getting in and out but once your in its really comfy. Plus putting it together was really easy. Get you a drill with a socket adapter and a wrench. Knock it out in no time.

I’ve had one up for a year. I don’t like the seat and bungie cords.
It’s portable and easy to set up. I tucked it into an oak tree.

I've had one for s couple of years and it's been good but the seat is pretty weathered and they do not sell replacement parts.

Had one in the past but didn’t ever care for the platform, you can get the back cushion replaced but the seat not so much.

Where do you put your gear and hang your bow while sitting in a tripod like this?

Was wondering that too. Might consider hanging gear bag from one side with a bungee, and then an aftermarket attachment for the bow on the other. Not sure the creators of this thought much of bowhunters. Fun project to get it the way you want it though.

For the price they are okay and you can buy multiple for different winds. The seats suck and we only got a year out of them but we replaced them with plastic boat seats. I personally do not carry my pack up but there is room to hang your quiver and I keep my bow between my legs sideways.

Good stand for the money. They work really well in South Texas.
