Just use them on small under fence gaps, and you won't get deer. If you use them on trails, you also won't get deer, because they should be too close to the ground to catch them.

That's good. Less deer you have to shoot in the long run. Win for everyone!

Actually the coyotes you kill save you WAY more fawns than you ever catch in a snare.

they work but we wont use them because we have tracking dogs and I don't want to find one of my dogs dead in one of them.

I'm starting to get confused. How does this work?

On average a coyote will kill 23 deer in its lifetime. For anyone that might wonder that.

A few years ago my buddies grandpa set a game camera in front of a coyote den. The coyotes that lived in it carried over 40 fawns back to eat that year. That means.....deer are overpopulated.

What is the average lifespan of a coyote?

We abandoned snares a few years ago & now use conibears. They are just easier & more effective. The Bridger 330's seem to hold up better than other brands

8 years I believe. At least 8 unless it's not wild then probably way longer. I suppose in an area where they're not bothered they could live to be 10 or 12 years old but I don't know that for a fact.
