    GRTU trout lease?

Anybody here do the GRTU lease? I'm planning a trip to fish for trout before long, and I was thinking about joining the lease. How many places does the lease have access to? Is it crowded, or is it less crowded than public access wade fishing areas?

I would be curious myself. I flyfish and broken bow is the closest I've gone for trout.

I didn't see a map on their website to show where you can fish

Me neither. That's why I was asking to see if some folks here are familiar with it.

Post what you find!!!!! Cold fronts put me in a trout mood and I'm already planning trips myself.

I’ve leased on and off over the last few years. I didn’t renew last season and won’t this season. The lease program gets you more access to the river. The chapter also stocks higher quality fish. It’s not terribly expensive (equivalent to a daily rod fee on good water in Colorado or NM). It can be very busy on weekends and during the holidays. The best sites have limited parking and you may not get a turn on busy days. The quality of the access depends on river flows. Many sites are difficult to fish at higher flows. My favorite site was lost the season before last.

If you can only go a few times- take a drift boat trip with a guide. It’s fun and you’ll catch a ton of fish.

Feel free to PM if you have any questions.

They don’t post the map to keep trespasses for using the sites w/o paying.
