Neat little discovery, any idea what it is ??

My son and his wife found this while doing some renovations on their house. They have some old plaster and slat walls they had to demo and this was in the wall.
The house is an old farm house built in the 30s
it's aluminum and about 1 1/2 long.

Could it be from a board game maybe, is it just flat?

Yes it's flat, I googled board games and can't find any that had a piece like that
Those walls are original so that piece has to be pretty old
