    The battle against Hogzilla

    Hey guys and gals,

I've run into a problem with my feeder and hogs. How do I prevent this from happening. I don't know why but the hogzilla seems to attack this feeder.

On 9-23-2017 I reset this feeder after being toppled by Hogzilla. I put 12"x12" squares under each leg with screws going inside the center of the pipe. I then drove 2 12" stakes for each leg in the ground to secure the 12"x12" from sliding or moving. I then sank 3 Tpost into the ground about 2 to 2 1/2 foot and wired the legs to those t-posts.

Fast forward to 10-20-2017 and this is how I found my feeder. Any suggestions? Dealing with a 275 to 300 pound monster. Have him on camera but he only visits at night.

Dad's standing in one of the holes this things digging. I wanna shoot the **** thing but that would require me setting up lights or buying a NV optic.

Just buy a green led flashlight off of amazon for about $20 and sit out there one night. Works for me, just shine the light at the ground and slowly bring it up.

Put hog panels around the feeder so only deer can jump in to eat.

why no feeder pen? This is why people use feeder pens.

That's a smart hog, it needs to die! Several led lights out there that attach to a gun or bow. Sniper hog lights is a sponsor and makes some quality lights.

From the looks of the holes in the pictures, he will probably just dig under a feeder pen!

Build a pen if you don't want him there anymore. If you want him coming but not destroying things, lay down a hog panel or 2 under your feeder to keep him from digging. A buddy of mine runs a ranch with a hog problem but his boss likes the pigs around so he puts the panels under the feeder flat on the ground to keep them from rooting. Has worked for a few years now.

I cut a cattle panel into three pieces and put them around each leg with the sharps points sticking each way. Worked great. Prior the feeder was dumped and legs were bent

Now it has a round pen with cattle panels in back and hog panels in front.

We had pens around them at once point with hog lan, but when there's plenty of food around for the deer to eat they won't jump in. They'll walk around but w ont jump in. Has 32x32 foot lens. So we took the pens down and now had deer everywhere but now have a Hogzilla that's toppling feeders. Got this one twice and my dad's once.

Lay some panels on the ground then. It works and shouldnt bother the deer

couple hog panels flat on the ground, stake the feeder down again and place some solar landscape lights around and get after him
