Honest question that I don’t know the answer to. Would you have to use your buck tag if it was a true button buck with no hard antler showing?

Some will say if its not breaking the skin its a doe. I say if it has testicles its a buck. Be on the safe side if the law.

Gotcha. That was my understanding but then when it was mentioned that he would have to burn his buck tag it made me second guess myself.

If you look closely there is hardened antler which protrudes. This is the case here. Lesson learned. Use the binos first.

The law says hardened antler protruding through the skin is a buck tag.
