Are we over thinking the rest isuues and need to be focusing more on set-up, tuning, and form? Has the drop-away rest been shoved down our throught by the industry when the issues that lead us to buy one don't really play a big role in your shooting?

(Not bashing anything or anyone just thinking out loud)
Traditional shooters shoot off the shelf, with lots of contact and still get good arrow flight.
In archery,"NEW" sells, and function is commonly overlooked for "NEW".
Drop-away arrowrests work, but are a small part in getting good arrow flight.

Ripcord or Limbdriver. I have both and wouldn't hesitate to put them on another rig.

Haven't had any problems with fletch contact.
I have 2 Vital Gear Kaz Away and they are awesome.

I have 5 Trophy Takers on our 5 Hoyts.

I put a piece of Velcro (fuzzy side on the shelf) = zero noise.

Set up and tied in to the buss cable properly = zero timing issues.

In five years of using TT's = zero problems.

Well I did it, I went yesterday and bought a wisker biscuit. I can see how some said that they are noisy, I pulled my easton epics through it and very little if any noise at all. However I had some old PSE carbon force arrows laying around and pulled it trough and was loud as all get out. So it seems to be the finish on your arrow that determines the noise of the biscuit? Any hints on replacing the biscuits or how to determine when to change them out

Switched from Trophy Taker to Limb Driver when I bought my GTO and am glad I did. It has worked flawlessly for me this year.
