Very nice buck for your first bow kill. You pegged him perfectly looks like. Congratulations to you on your success with bow and arrow. My first bow deer was a humble spike.

Mine was a fawn. Took me 2 full seasons of failing before I could do it. Proud of the OP for taking the last 4 months to practice for the shot that took that buck. I don’t know anything except bow hunting but I’d imagine it’s weird to pick up a bow after shooting rifles for a long time.

Man at first I stayed at 20 yards for about 4 weeks just over and over again. Then I bought me the single pin HHA sight cause I couldn't deal with the cluster of the 3 pin and man did my accuracy improve. I've never shot over 20 and when I put the sight on I had to go all the way to 60yrds. My cousin can account for the shots and when I was at 50 and 60 my groups where almost touching together in the center of the target.

As far as being weird with the transition. It was at first but I kept at it and it became natural
