When to start grunting

Now that our 2nd front has pushed through and we are hitting low 50's and high 40's the last couple nights, when is a good time to start grunting?

I heard a buck grunt last weekend and heard some fighting for a short while two weeks ago. I am going to try this weekend.

I was thinking about giving it a shot tonight. I found a good rub last night which it what made me start thinking about grunting.

Soon as the rut kicks off, which would be right now in our part of Freestone County. Grunting and rattling could really pay off right now.

This morning and since the opener I have had bucks grunting in Fort Bend County. Obviously most of it has been when there has been does and bucks around at the same time. Not seeing much grunting when the does aren't present

Generally I try not to start grunting until I'm in the little room with the door locked and the fart fan on full blast. And of course after I've made visual confirmation that grunting paper is sufficient for the task at hand.
