Last season on two occasions I a saw a young buck run does out of the feeder pen so he could hog all the corn. This morning he came in bright and early - a little bigger but still not a shooter. A few minutes after he got there I looked up and there were two mature does standing a few yards outside the pen just looking at him. He was really taking his time, casually eating and just kinda fartin' around as they stood back patiently watching. After about 30 minutes I heard a feeder go off on the neighboring property. The does looked at each other and ambled off in that direction. I really wanted to shoot one of them - I guess the bully saved a life this morning.
