There are literally 1000’s of other foods he could have brought to a firehouse that was 90% black. Why even risk it? Just bring cookies or something.

It's not the point, though. When did a food become racist? It apparently wasn't brought in with any other context to indicate there was racism involved with the gift. It's not like he showed up wearing a white sheet on his head carrying a watermelon, he showed up with fruit instead of donuts. Who doesn't like watermelon?

The fact that he was fired for this on the grounds for which he was fired is racist all by itself it appears.
