But, for those that didn't know, there are giants in Denton County. lol I've seen some beauties near Pilot Point.

Ya, just impossible to get land to hunt on.

You might find a 3 acre place if you’re lucky.

There's a chance that it isn't, but it is very slim. I have more pics to compare than you are seeing. The drop tine on the left beam and the brow tines are the give away.

I don't see it. Split main beam on right side, right right is totally different (maybe an injury) and brow tines are totally different. I would say like a 30% chance based on the pics.

So what's the point of carrying a weapon on an after dark recovery. Best to just back out and come back the next morning. Great if you recover it dead, but if not hope for another chance at it during legal hunting hours. Just something that has always bothered me.
This makes sense never thought about it.

Had I shot this deer and knew how big he was I would have never left until I had my hands on him, shot him agian in the dark or lost the track about three days later! I would have been illegal too! Deer like this makes you think crazy.

And then hope you put the Skinny backspin english on em when you shoot one so they don't run two hundred yards onto neighboring property...the neighbor that will call TPWD on you.

                    Grandma's back yard?

Why do these small acre tracts of "leases" have such a bad reputation?

at a standard $10 an acre for a shot at a state record that'd be worth it

I'm not privy to any information, but any time a large buck is killed that has been seen on public land, there will be an inquiry.

I have seen at least 2 deer killed not far from you Skinny that was over 185" net typical. On clear creek.
