Additional Scent Control Tips/Suggestions Cedar vs. Charcoal

Ok guys, I'm looking to pick the brains of the green screen. What do you think is the most effective method of scent control for clothes that have already been washed in scent control detergent and you store in a sealed container. I usually put a few small cedar branches in the container and it always seems to do the trick, there is always a cedar scent on the clothes, to me this is good. The other method I am wondering about is using the activated charcoal. Are there any of you out there that use this method. What are your thoughts?
One other question, I am going on a bow hunt to Michigan in November. I have no idea about the prevalence of cedar trees up there, so would it be better to start using the charcoal prior to that hunt. Would the cedar be an unfamiliar odor? Or am I overthinking the cedar odor idea?
    Thanks for you advice.

Pound some of those cedar branched with a hammer then boil them in water.
Put the water in a spray bottle and spray everything down

You can put one of these in you storage container and run it before you go out and hunt. Be advised, ozone deteriorates elastic waist bands.

Every year I say I'm gonna do this and I never actually commit to doing it.

I need to. My goal with scent control is to keep them from smelling me if they cross my trail into the stand and give myself a few extra seconds and yards if they are downwind. I do a pretty good job of that with washing my clothes and spraying so I'm kinda hesitant. But one of these days I'm gonna do it.

Dont be hesitant to experiment. Just ask all the millionaires out there selling scent control and cover up products.

First of there is no such thing as being scent free. Our bodies continuously produce scent. They key is to mask it to the point that when a deer smells it is in such light molecules they don't get alarmed. Smoke overwhelms other scents everything and it sticks to you and your clothes . That's the reason after home fires items get totaled and even homes get totaled for smoke damage.

Wonder why it has that effect on the elastic? Ant other thoughts on the carbon/charcoal?
