Finally got to make a trip to the lease last Tuesday-Thursday. I found scrape line on Thursday morning & decided to hunt it that evening. I had no cameras up due to loosing them in the flood. So I had no idea what to be expecting. 3:30 I catch a good shooter at 50yrds, he’s a 9 point real tall with a crab claw on his left side main beam. He comes in to 20yrds, starts making a scrape & gives me a broad side shot. I have no idea what happened but I shot about 8” low barely clipping his far side leg. He just shook his leg, looked around & walked off the way he came in.
Do y’all think this effect his routine? This area was absolutely torn up with tree rubs & scrapes. It’s gonna be about 2 weeks before I can make it back out there to hunt again. I sure would like to get him.
