Success this morning in Junction!!

He's no monster but a good one for me! He was the only deer to show up to the feeder. We've got lots of acorns and pecans falling right now so I didn't figure to see much. I was just about ready to get out of the stand when out popped a red fox.. I've never seen one in the wild so I figured I'd watch him for a bit. He got close to the feeder, didn't like something and took off. As I am watching him leave, out of the corner of my eye I see a big bodied buck walking up... They didn't see each other. The buck eased his way to the feeder and was very skittish. We played cat and mouse for about 10 minutes(seemed like forever!). At this point I thought I'd never get drawn on him with him looking up every 2-3 seconds and being jumpy. All of a sudden, the red fox came trotting by and got the buck's attention long enough for me to draw and fire an arrow. He was 25 yards and ran about 60, got the jimmy-leg and fell over. The rage did a heck of a job again! Blood trail was insane. I am blessed!

Forgot to mention, I've watched this deer for 2 years. He was a lot taller last year so I figured it was time to take him.
