    Generator output question...

I have a Generac 7500 EXL Generator. I'm trying to get some reimbursement from the Feds for its use during Harvey. The reimbursement rate is based on Prime Output in Kw. I can't find anywhere in the documentation for this generator what the Prime Output is.

Is it the same a running output? Running watts is 7500, start up max is 9375. If Prime output is the same as running out put, then the Prime output in Kw would be 7.5, correct?

I do not know why they would ask for Prime. A Prime generator is for power where no other utility exists. The majority of these types of generators are stand-by. From p. 36 of the Generac 7500 exl manual states that this unit will not be covered under warranty if used as Prime Power.

Yeah, I've gone through the entire manual too. It was used to power our command/communications trailer close to our sheltering location.
