Someone hit me with some knowledge - Chill R Value

New to the mathews game and looking for some advice. I'm looking at buying a used "Mathews Chill R" from different site. From the pictures (I'll try to load shortly) the limb of the bow says "Monster Chill R" and has a carbon fiber look. Bare bow for $425 + $25 shipping. The guy says it's in good shape. Does this sound like a good deal? Any advice would be much appreciated

I had a Monster XLR8 that was in GREAT condition that got very little interest at 450 including accessories. Ended up selling it all for 400. Seems a bit high for a bare bow in "good" condition (assuming its got the infamous grip wear and some nicks on the limbs). Maybe someone a bit more knowledgeable can chime in. Just trying to provide a bit of context.

Maybe it's about right. Chill R for 450

Do a classified search on here for "Mathews Chill"... It looked like there have been a few for sale. This may help you a bit.

That's Kind of what I'm thinking too. I looked at that and was interested, but not really wanting to deal with something g out of state.

Although it looks like he's having trouble getting rid of it at that price too.

I will say, your Monster XLR8 is 5-6 years older than the bow in question

wasnt the Chill R a bow from the 2014 line up? if so that seems reasonable

The ChillR is an excellent bow, but that sounds on the high side for bare bow, at least what I see on other places. I bought mine bare, in mint condition, for less than that a few years ago.

Chill R is great and price is fair. May find one cheaper if you look hard enough but there was an up charge for the color you are looking at. $100
