I have a weakness that is costing me opportunities at deer. My weakness is homemade CHEX mix. My mother in law makes it for me about this time of year. I have standards. No pretzels, double garlic, double worstchester. I end up stinking like dirty gym socks from all the garlic oozing out of me. I'm gonna have to quit cold turkey I guess if I want to kill a deer.

Haha! My family makes this stuff for Thanksgiving time. There is usually a couple big plastic tea pitchers full of it. Just pour it out onto a paper plate. We eat a lot of it while playing poker.

The wife of a guy at work makes it and brings me a big tupperware dish full of it about 4 times a year. He's perpetually "Employee of the Year". His has big red pepper flakes in it and is spicy. So good.

Speaking of red pepper flakes...my cousins wife makes some sort of special saltine crackers. Not exactly sure what she puts on them, but there are red pepper flakes and they are like crack!!!

Back in the early 90s folks used to swallow garlic pills to "cover scent" from internally....you might be fine..

Crushed red pepper flakes, ranch dressing mix, canola oil, and saltine crackers all tumbled and mixed together in a ziplock bag. Good stuff.

It's a good way to keep ticks and chiggers off you. Not sure about the cover scent properties of it though. If you smell bad enough to keep ticks and chiggers, I'm sure other animals can smell you too.
