Never have, never will--too crazy. This year, on the tax-free weekend, was intending to go to Bass Pro, and spent 20-30-minutes in traffic just getting off the loop on to I-10. So, once I got on I-10 I just went on up to Boerne to the bow shop instead.

This right here. I dont even entertain the side jobs that offer 50+ an hour to watch said nutjobs.

Give me cool weather, the woods, an after dinner toddy and a warm fire. Shoppers can have their 49 dollar TV

What part of Germany are you from?

Paternal Grandparents.
Grandpa was born in 1904, came to USA in 1938 via Ellis Island by himself.
Grandma was born in 1908, can't to USA with her parents and siblings in 1934, via Ellis Island.

One was born in Kiev the other in Kassau (sp?)

I posted that to say just Germany. They were in the USA before the Berlin wall went up.
I feel you also asked this question to point out the absurdity of being anything other just plain ole American, and that by claiming anything other I'm part of the problem, not there solution.
