    Arrow head collection inheritance

I don't know much about these heads, but was just given this small collection from my wife's aunt. Her husband recently passed away, and she wanted me to have them.

Any ID available from this picture?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not lookiing for $$ info. I would just like to know more the heads (age, origin, tribe, etc.). Would never consider selling!!

They will be on my office wall in the morning!

If you are a facebooker, check into the Texas Chert group---they will be able to identify them most likely as to type and age--and I'll bet the white one at the top is the oldest. It is a spear point which was thrown with an atlatl.

I bet my brother can tell you what each one is and what it's worth. Shoot me a PM if you want his number. He's only been doing this for about 20+ years now.

All appear to archaic atlatl dart points. Looks like some martindales, Williams, Travis, bulverde and maybe an Evant. The top one appears to be a transitional/late paleo which would have been used on a spear, not thrown on an atlatl.

Can you take some close ups of the top white one... it might be pretty special.

That top one isn't a Clovis, is it? Im sure Johnny, Garguy and others will chime in to help you.
