patch plug

just had tire with 8,800 miles on it patch plugged.
how good are these repairs ? do thy tend to hold up

My wife has had a patch on one of her tires for about 40,000 miles with no issues, she's got a new explorer though so no serious stress or weight.

I keep a high quality plug kit in my truck with a portable compressor. I had to plug a tire while I was driving around filling feeders and it held for two years.

Depending on location.
Sidewall I'd replace the tire when I got back in.

Plugs tend to better than patch on sidewall..But its still a crap shoot

Patch plug will be just fine. Its as right as you can be without buying a new tire.
