    Tag Soup

Does Tag Soup taste better with a $681 New Mexico private land elk tag than it does with a regular old Texas whitetail tag? Asking for a friend...

About the same but a way more expensive meal.

It leaves a more bitter taste in your mouth.

Did you at least get to chase a few bugles?

I bet the scenery while eating the elk tag was beautiful.

Nope, over 1400 in Co tags, no meat.

                You have to brine it

I've never had NM Elk tag soup, but hear that it is better when mixed with hatch chili's.

What unit did you hunt? Did you at least get an appetizer with your soup of seeing some big elk?

He said private land elk tag. The license cost was probably just a quarter of what the private tag cost.

Unit 4. I had around 15 bulls in bow range over the course of 4.5 days but only 2 that we were allowed to kill. Neither of which cooperated. One pushed one of his cow right into us and she spooked and took him with her and the other was feeding up a ridge line towards us and bedded down at 80 yards at 7:50 am until the wind swirled and he winded us

Definitely made memories that will last a lifetime. There are no to words to describe the feeling you get when a bull lets out a bone chilling bugle 15 yards from you!!
