I have been involved with plenty of 1 hr fights, a few 2 hrs, maybe one 3 hr but at hours 4,5 and 6 you expect for something to go wrong...it is a battle of wills...he made a mistake before we did.

When we gaffed it that big bill was all over the place.

      It went like this.

Me: I have the leader, get the harpoon and gaff.

Friend 1 grabs the harpoon, friend 2 grabs the gaff.

Me: hit it with the harpoon as soon as you see it.

Friend 1: drills it with the harpoon in the dark.

Friend 2: puts a gaff in its head (perfect shot)

We all grab gaffs and stick it with 3 gaffs in the head..fish proceeds to lose its mind.

Friend 2: (while holding the gaff and getting beat up) "what do we do now"

Me: we hold it right here till it dies

So that's how the 6 1/2 hr fight ended.

      Very cool
Sounds like you got this offshore thing just about dialed already

I thought the Captain of the boat was supposed to be in all the pics! Congrats Ryan you have this down to an art!

The 6 1/2 hour fight was epic! You have ruined Grant in a good way!!

I got a suggestion teach your deckhand how to drive the boat then you can spend more time fishing and picture taking!

                          It's true!!!

Some people make it all complicated and have plans and stuff when they head offshore.
