    Alpha Max 32

Just got the new alpha max 32 with black riser and camo limbs. Man is this one sweet shootin dude. Actually has taken a little getting used to from my Vectrix. Quite a bit lighter but still as accurate as ever.

Anyone else have one? What are your thoughts?

Got mine during hunting season. Have killed two does, a hog and two turkeys with it so far. Comes back smooth, goes off quiet. Every time I shoot it I'm impressed. The bow just fit me. I have a short draw and only shoot 55 pounds or so but when I touch the release I KNOW the arrow is gonna hit there. I'm getting a bunch of confidence in this bow which is half the game in this bowhunting thing. Good luck with yours.

Why did you choose the 32 over the 35? Just curious I am would love an alphamax.

I don't have a real good answer for you other than that it is very similar to the Vectrix I had. I'm not real tall (6') and my draw length is 29". i shot the xl and it shot great it just didn't feel like what I was used to. The 32 just felt right and I really am happy with it. Before I bought it I tried to give other brands a legitimate try and see if they could pull me away from hoyt. Mathews, Bowtech, PSE, shot them all and none of them shot like the alpha max. I'm not knocking the other brands and enjoyed shooting them but I guess I'm just a Hoyt guy.

                    Congrats on the new bow.

I was reading over the Hoyt add in a rag yesterday and they brag about that bow (along with their others?) holding up to their Dry fire test (1000+ I believe it was).
And being able to withstand that abuse is very impressive.
I can think of one other big name bow that can't get through 1 dry fire without string & cables coming off the cams.

If I was in the market, I'd be looking the Alphamax over based on that alone.

How does the draw feel when going over the hump?
Does it have a decently hard back wall?
If you let up at full draw does it try to rip your arm off?

Dave: Hump is early in the draw and barely noticeable.
Yes, it has a hard back wall.
Does not try to rip out of your hand on letup.

I'm not shooting a lot of pounds, relatively speaking, which may temper some of those characteristics, but the draw is what sold me on the bow. The bow I played with at Triple Edge was 65 or so pounds and still felt smooth.

Is this the bow you were having center shot or was it tuning issues with?
