    Pop up Blinds

I've hunted out of a lot of pop up blinds and never had the mesh on there. A lot of folks do though.

Some do, some don't. Usually, I would cut a slit through the netting, but is the netting could moved up or down, or side to side, I would do that. I just don't like shooting thru it. Don't shoot a rifle thru it, as you might catch it on fire

I ve done both...best thing to do is set up a target and shoot through it once and see for yourself...that will help you with your decision and confidence...
make sure you shoot with a broadhead to get the true result

I let it down low enough so I don't have to shoot or look thru it. I use expandable broadheads. I don't want them to deploy going thru it. But mainly that mess makes me crosseyed looking thru it for a couple of hours.

Thanks guys! I wanted to try and video my hunt so makes sense not to leave the mesh up.

I used to. Now I don't, never could tell a difference with it up or down and I shoot mechanicals

If you hunt with the mesh you should use a fixed blade.

I shot a lot of animals through mesh with both Mechanicals and fixed blade and never had a problem but I always tested them first to make sure. I no longer like to leave the mesh up though because it really cuts down on your visibility the first and last minutes of daylight. Well actually I leave the mesh up and then cut a slit just big enough for me to shoot through and that way and don't have a huge black hole that some deer don't like. Also always leave your blind windows when your not hunting the same way you do as when your hunting. For example, if you just have one window open when your hunting, leave that window open when your not hunting. Deer get used to the way your blind looks when your not there and if your blind looks different when your there the deer will more then likely be on edge or spook when you are there because the blind looks different.
