West Texas washout for the opener?

Forecast is still consistently calling for 4-8" of rain early this week with the frontal passage. Can any of our weather gurus chime in? 8" would keep me from being able to hunt next weekend for sure.....

Don't know where your hunting but around here it going to take more than that, it's dry, dry here, give it 24 hrs after the rain and you'll be able to drive most places.

I'll agree it's powder dry at the lease, but even 4" would be pretty bad. The rancher would keep us from coming and rutting his roads up. I could personally get to my blind if it rained a foot

Let it rain in Mills county. Tanks are getting low.

Bring the rain, most need it, except for those after the disasters along the coast! We can get a ton of rain and be able to go anywhere after about 4 hours or less where I hunt!

I can't remember am opening weekend for the last 3-4 years that we didn't get rain in south Texas "freer/Cotulla" sometimes a good enough rain to float up culverts in the water gaps

                              Bring it....

we don't have a lot of water sources on our lease. One trough near camp and that's it. I've got several "tubs" or natural holes in the rock near my setup that hold water. They are all bone dry right now. Too bad I can't get out there and clean the silt out of them to make them a little deeper before the rain hits. Hopefully I'll be able head out there the following weekend.
