I'll do my best! I would think the lodge has service where I can post up some play by play. Apparently most of the caribou hunting is out of the lodge. I think it's vehicle from there then hike. For the better moose they have a remote camp. I told them I wanted to focus on caribou first. Moose would be a bonus.

I won't have OT! I have a stepson who is already pretty upset we aren't deer hunting the opener. I tried to get lil doc to go without me but we are going the weekend I get back. Got some targets on the hit list!







I think junior is thinking more about this deer than he is girls or football! I passed him for three years but I think it's time.

My nemesis from last year is back, bigger and even older. He busted me drawing when my limbs started creaking. Next time he winded us. I'm putting up a ladder stand when we head back. He is gonna get the shaft!!!!!

Around Mason on our lease. Been hunting there the past 4-5 years. Pretty fun to watch the quality improve with what we are doing. We have shot a bunch of does, many culls and kill all spikes. It's working on our lease.

I'm scheduled to come home on 10/6. If the hunt goes exceedingly well and there is a way to come home early I might do it. Otherwise I might be out of the loop for the next Aggie game. I may catch some of the Bama game on the way home(I think that's the schedule). Oh well, I'll take the hunt! Finally taking off for Toronto, they managed to spill fuel around our plane and had to delay boarding. Here we go.

Bama is going to be one tough mother the way we've been squeezing by. I'd probably rather be hunting during both games and just catch the highlights. We all will be awaiting pics from this hunt.

Did you take a rifle as a back up? If so what caliber?
