    I need a dog re-homed ASAP

I need to find a new home for my dog, after moving to our new house where we don’t have a fence, he’s having a hard time adjusting to life. He spends most of his time in his kennel, and to top of off we brought home our newborn son last week so he’s not getting any attention right now.

He’s about 10 years old, weights about 25 pounds, he does great with other animals of any kind and with kids.

He’s a good dog just need a fresh environment.

If you are interested or know anyone that’s interested please let me know.

What breed of dog and pictures would probably help

That is a lot of adjustment for an old dog. It will take some time for him to adjust.

Things change folks. The pound is full of good animals that people didn't want/couldn't have, etc.Maybe momma's not happy, and we all know how that turns out.Sounds like he's trying to do the right thing.

I'd rather see him keep the old dog and deal with it. On the other hand, if he doesn't want the dog, I'd rather see him try to find the dog a decent home rather than dumping him on a back road with a bowl of food and a note.

Since I was a kid, we have acquire 4 dogs that way and it IS sad. We have one right now we acquired this sort of way. The dogs are always quirky as hell when they have been shuffled around but all have been good pets.

I took one in last year this same way......he had a pretty easy adjustment. Im currently looking for another one so ill send this pic to the wife and kids. That is if you dont have a problem with knowing it will be an outside dog.

Not exactly, but he reminds me of the dog on Mars Attacks. Good luck!

Just wait a while, I'm sure the negative comments will return soon enough. Good luck with finding a home.

And they should have removed them! Everyone is/was bashing this guy and no one knows the story behind it. Hopefully if he cant keep the dog, he will find a great home for it.

Thank you everyone that had a kind response. I don’t expect everyone to agree with this decision, and nobody else truly knows how hard we have tried. We’ve been in our new house over a year now and have truly given it a lot of effort. I am trying to re home him for his benefit, not ours. I know being an older dog would be an adjustment for him, but I feel like it would turn out well for him in the right situation.

Trust me, I would NEVER dump my dog. I won’t take him to a shelter either. If I can’t find a home for him we will make it work, but if somebody is looking a good dog, PM me. Thank you all
