    Just got a 10 week old German short hair and am reading a lot of different opinions on when to introduce them to bird hunting. I don't want to work with him yet to retrieve but was planning on taking him out this afternoon with my 5 year old lab just to introduce him to it and let him run around and have some fun.

    What say the green screen? Most people against it say to train for obedience first before taking them to the field so they don't develop bad habits. My take is he wont beat my lab to a bird anyway and should start getting used to the obedience commands I am giving my lab during the hunt.
