The pack out was the most physically challenging thing I have ever experienced. I wish I had a Fit Bit to see how many miles we walked with elk meat on our backs. I now it was 12 hours with meat on our backs. Would I do it again? Yes. But Mike is looking at getting horses/pack mules so we can get further in and easy on packing in and out.

Yea my best friend used to hire a pack guy, would pack everything up and show on a map where to drop it off which was about 8 miles back, and my friend and his hunting partners would hike by foot and hunt on the way to the drop off point.

At the end of the hunt the guy would show up at camp and pack it back to the trucks. cost was $150.00 per guy round trip. This was 10 years ago so I'm guessing it's a little more but still pretty cheap.
