    Feeder Timers

I have several Foreverlast timers and they do a good job new out of the box. However, after the first year they start to have problems. The liquid crystal screen fades out or completely quit reading. The feed times become difficult to set and the clock feature won't adjust. On occasion if you can set feed times, after a period it's like the timer resets its self to feed at different hours. Anyone have similar problems with these timers?

We have "The Timers" in all our feeders...they had issues and replaced all under warranty. Running good now, but had 2 feeders completely empty.

I love "The Timer" setup and display but have had trouble with one on a HB feeder we bought back in May. It would throw for four days maybe then reset itself to zero so nothing would throw. I had an extra boss buck I put in it while I got the timer swapped out at BTI but I'm A little leary that the new one might do the same thing and that could deff mess up some hunts without the timed protein feeder working.

The timer is the one that has given us the best reliability.

HCR Electronics were the only ones that I never really had problems with. I ran the hunting on a ranch in college and for 6 years I had to replace 1 timer and I have no idea how long they were there before I got there.

Thanks for input. I do have one the is the Timer, and it never gives me problems. Guess I'll replace the Foreverlast with them and be done with it

I've used Texas Hunter brand for over a decade with zero issues. Best I have ever owned.

But other guys on my lease have The Timer and I'll probably switch to it next time I need a timer because they are so easy to program.
