In my little corner of Walker/Grimes county line area, i am seeing little to no acorns at all. Very few trees have any. But the ones that do, have quite a bit on them. And its mostly post oak with acorns. Not a single white oak that i checked had any acorns. Only one persimmon tree produced this year and it is so loaded, that limbs are bending and breaking from the weight. Only problem is its in a wide open pasture.

White Oaks, Pin Oaks, Red oaks are all falling right now in NW Jasper County. Doesn't seem to be as many as years past but still a good crop this year. The deer have slowed down from the feeders over the past week.

Leon county acorn crop looks promising. I this year have moved my stand into the heart of the woods and creek bottoms on our place and stoped feeding corn. I am going to try and hunt the acorns which I have cursed the last 12 years I have hunted in Leon county. I will toss out a little hand corn, but no feeders for me.

I've been puzzled by the exact same thing at my place in Leon county. I have hundreds of post oaks and I can't find any acorns on any of them. I have seen a few red oaks with acorns but not all of them. I can't figure it out. I'm trying like crazy to find the trees that have acorns so I can hunt them.

Live Oaks been dropping in CenTex for several weeks... however some trees havent gotten the memo. Bur Oak acorns still seem to be clinging good. I havent noted the Red Oaks...typically theyre first to drop.

Only ones I'm noticing is the water oaks around the house. I'm set up in a pretty good grove of white and post oaks at the lease. Those are the ones I can't tell if they have acorns or not.

If you're not looking with binoculars they can be very hard to see. Liberty county pinoaks are pretty full and just starting to fall. Whiteoaks in my area were a no show. Red oaks are hit and miss bit the ones with acorns seem to be loaded.

Edwards county out west of rock springs the post oaks are very thin. Spanish oaks on the other hand seem to be loaded.

Sitting in the tree this morning and confirmed that there are no acorns in my oak patch. A couple post oaks have a small handful, but that's all I'm seeing in Jacksonville. Got acorns and pecans abound in Reklaw though. It so strange. I'm thinking I will be playing musical stands until it gets wet enough for a food plot to go in.
