Safe Door for Gun Room

I am in the middle of my house build and need to order a safe room door. I am in the Houston area, does anyone have any recommendations? Any pictures of safe doors? Thanks

For the price of a vault door, or less, you can get a high security steel door. Sort of like the ones in a prison, then you can get whatever lockset you want (even one that matches your house key, but far more resistant to picking)

I'm thinking of going this route when I build.

I just built and wanted to go that route as well but I came into the process too late. I would suggest that you have your contractor pour concrete walls or at least a reinforced door jam. Most of the safe doors that I liked were a clam shell design and need a 7-12" thick door jam to mount in. I haven't had time to mess with this yet but ideally I am going to add steel beams to make a reinforced door jam. Golden Spike makes a good door, so does Amsec

I'm impressed with the specs on Sturdy Safe products. When I get around to building a gun room, I think they'll be at the top of my list.

Just thinking for down the road.....but how would you build an entire room gun safe?

I am new to this. I have a safe now but to make a gun safe/room, one would need more then a vault door to make the room fireproof and also theft proof
