How old is your bow?

This is my 5th season with my Bowtech Assassin. Is there an average lifespan as a general rule? Considering upgrading, but not sure what the advantages are. Nothing really wrong with what I have.

2016 Elite Synergy. I generally buy a new bow every year or two. Not because there is something wrong with the bows, but just because I get bored and I like trying new bows. I am not hunting this year due to surgery so I am hanging on to my Synergy another year just so it's here in case I get well enough to target practice.
