Anyone do a lot of crappie fishing? I've only found them by accident and would like to learn how? What time of year? And where in that time of year to find them? I'm not a big line bait guy but will try it if that's the best way.

Just caught a dozen this morning. Fishing in 6 foot of water around stumps. Using a white body red head jig with a chartreuse crappie nibbles on it.
