I was asked if we had any pictures of the deck build process. Here are a few that show the progression and I am extremely grateful and thankful my best friend drove down to lend a hand and we got it completely decked in that one day! Thank you bud!!!

We may end up changing directions soon. Can anyone recommend a builder that does barndo’s along the coast? We may turn our RV cover into a house depending on how badly it hurts.

We went back to our retreat for a few days and did more work than originally planned. Friday I cut a big limb that was rubbing the top tin on our cover and loaded it as well as the tree we fell last autumn that the city never picked up and took it all to a compost facility.



Shortly after midnight this morning I awoke to the bottom falling out. It rained, thundered, and lightninged for well over an hour. After the sun came up I discovered we still had a couple low spots so after lunch we loaded up 800 lbs (more like 900 because they were wet) of topsoil and filled in those two spots.




Now to relax before firing up the grill for steaks and potatoes! We are still here for a few more days so who knows if we will take on any other projects or just call it good for now?

Eventually, seems like I'm never down there anymore. Hell, just bought more property between POC and Seadrift.

For Barndo builders, just take a drive through POC and start asking people. That's where you'll get the best info. I still need to finish out the apartment in mine.

Later we plan to screen it all in and I wanted to insure mosquitoes do not come up from the floor. Without screening the deck it would be pointless to screen in the sides.
