Well looks my alligator hunt got cancelled. My kiddo who was so into this is down. I had set some money aside to tan the hides which is a lot (I was told a $100 a foot). Does anyone know someone that does alligator hunts or just someone with tags that has land. It could be another 8 years to get drawn. Thought I would give this a go. I know this is late in the game but we only got a weeks notice.

I actually asked that and they said no. I am so ok that the hunt was cancelled. Funny thing was I had to go to beaumont to help transport patient and help a sister hospital. on a day off i actually ran by JD murphee just to see. I talked to 2 staffer and they said staffing resources were being spread to thin and most likely be cancelled. I thought it was like the last hurricane in '07 or '08. They quickly corrected me saying that with that hurricane they had direct impact with a 6 to 8 foot "salt" water storm surge. The salt was the issue not rain. This is not a damaged hunt area but a resource issue. Do not bit me head off. This is what I was told by not 1 but 2 staffers. I was ok till i get couple emails from state saying anything but that. I am a grown up and have a little bit of heart left just be honest. They wanted me to tell which staffer told me. don't worry i didn't tellComment
