I am hoping that TBH may have some insight on county ordinances related to a situation with a neighbor we have in regards to their storage of numerous (15-20) wrecked/salvaged/junker vehicles on their property. I'll provide some background first:
We're located in Montgomery county, and the neighbor's property sits at the street-facing end of our U-shaped street, with their house being on one side of the street and a junk yard of sorts on our side of the street (so their property covers both lots at the end of the street). Their property shares a fence line with a main residential road.
On to the issue at hand: Since moving in a couple of years ago, they've accumulated a number of junker vehicles, which they've stored in the chain-link fenced lot next to our property. These vehicles seem to non-functioning, previously wrecked, or otherwise damaged, and they have just sat on the property for months. They've completely neglected to maintain the lot, allowing the chain-link fence we share to be overgrown (as with their yard). Given the obvious eyesore this is, do any TBH'ers know of county ordinances for fencing in or maintaining such properties.
I'm simply hoping to gain some insight on if ordinances exist that could cause the property owner to erect better/more private fencing (e.g., taller wood privacy fences as opposed to short chain-link fences they have now), and I am not aiming at stirring any property rights pot/ignite any arguments on the subject. Internet searches haven't yielded any information, so I'm open to any direction TBH can provide.
